Check the silent switch on the left edge of your iPhone, and raise the volume with the side buttons. If you just finished recording, give it a moment to switch back to the speaker.
Location is optional. If you declined the permission, or your iPhone could not get a fix indoors, the capsule is saved without a place and simply won't appear on the map. Everything else still works.

No. That is the point of sealing one. It stays closed and counts down until the date you chose. You can still see its title and when it opens.
Open the Me tab and tap Recently Deleted. Anything you deleted in the last 30 days can be restored from there.
Yes, if you restore the new device from an iCloud or encrypted iTunes backup. Because there is no cloud sync, a backup is the only way to move them — please make one before switching phones.
Roughly 1 MB per minute. To free space, empty Recently Deleted, and use Settings › Clear Temporary Cache to remove leftover share images.
