Voice Echo

Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026

In one sentence. Voice Echo is a local-first app. Your recordings, photos, location, moods and notes stay on this device. We have no servers, and we do not collect, upload or sell anything you create.

What we collect

We, the developers, collect nothing. The following is created by you and stored on your device:

All of it is written to a local database and never leaves your device.

Why we ask for permissions

You can revoke any of these at any time in Settings › Voice Echo.

Does anything get uploaded

No. There are no accounts, no cloud sync and no background uploads.

The only network requests the app makes are loading map tiles on the Map screen and turning coordinates into a city name. Those requests contain nothing but the coordinates themselves — no audio, no photos, no personal information. If you never open the Map screen, the app makes no network requests at all.

Third parties

We include no advertising, analytics or telemetry SDKs, and we do not track you in the App Tracking Transparency sense.

Map tiles and geocoding are served by a third-party map provider, which receives the coordinates you request.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data lives on your device until you delete it.

Because we have no servers, anything you delete locally is gone for good and we cannot recover it for you. Keep an iCloud or iTunes backup if that matters to you.

Children

Voice Echo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we will update this page along with the app and revise the effective date at the top.
